SH-401F
SH-401F is an epoxy-modified polysiloxane resin. It is produced of silicone polymers(containing methyl and phenyl) and epoxy resins though a special process. SH-401F exhibits outstanding high and low temperature resistance, excellent adhesion, and superior moisture-proof performance. It is suitable for high-temperature resistant coatings, anti-corrosion coatings, and more other similar applications.
The dilution solvents used for this product must not contain impurities such as acids, alkalis, amine compounds, sulfur-containing compounds, etc. Otherwise, the adhesion, drying performance, and other properties of the resin coating film may be affected. The curing process can be accelerated by using suitable catalysts.
Silicone-epoxy hybrid resins are advanced polymeric materials that combine the complementary properties of organic epoxy resins and inorganic silicone polymers. They are widely utilized across industries due to their exceptional performance in demanding environments.
The Key Advantages Driving Adoption
Enhanced Thermal Stability: Superior to pure epoxies, with a wide operating temperature range.
Excellent Weatherability & UV Resistance: Siloxane linkages provide resistance to oxidation and photo-degradation.
Improved Flexibility & Toughness: Reduced brittleness compared to standard epoxies, leading to better impact and crack resistance.
Strong Adhesion & Chemical Resistance: Maintains epoxy's excellent adhesion while adding silicone's inertness to many chemicals and moisture.
In summary, silicone-epoxy hybrid resins are versatile engineering materials that bridge the gap between high adhesion/strength of epoxies and the extreme temperature/weather resistance of silicones. Their primary value lies in protecting assets and enabling performance in severe service conditions across the coatings, electronics, transportation, and construction sectors.

APPLICATION
The typical application is to formulate high-performance protective coatings, such as:
Corrosion Protection: Used in heavy-duty industrial, marine, and offshore coatings for steel structures, pipelines, and ships. They offer outstanding resistance to salt spray, moisture, chemicals, and UV radiation.

Heat-Resistant Coatings: Formulate coatings for exhaust systems, industrial ovens, chimneys, engines, and cookware. They can withstand intermittent temperatures from 200°C to over 600°C while maintaining adhesion and flexibility.

Decorative & Weatherable Finishes: Used in architectural cladding, and automotive coatings where long-term gloss retention, color stability, and protection from environmental degradation are required.

Adhesives and Sealants
High-Temperature Adhesives: Bond metals and composites in aerospace, automotive, and appliance assembly where service temperatures exceed the limits of standard epoxies.
Flexible, Durable Sealants: Used in construction, automotive, and industrial gasketing where resistance to thermal cycling, vibration, and environmental exposure is critical.
