SI-601
PAI (Polyamide-Imide) dispersion refers to a form of this high-performance polymer where PAI resin particles are suspended in a liquid medium (typically water or a solvent blend). This form enables applications and processing methods that are not possible with solid PAI (e.g., powders or pellets).
Durle® SI-601 Environmentally Friendly Water-based Polyamide-imide (PAI) Dispersion is an environmentally compliant high-performance resin material developed by Quark. It is engineered to eliminate EU REACH-regulated solvents such as NMP and contains no yellowing-prone materials like organic amines. Functional coatings (including non-stick coatings) produced with this material exhibit a stable bluish hue without yellowing tendencies.
This product offers exceptional high gloss, high hardness (particularly hot hardness), superior wear resistance, and excellent corrosion resistance among water-based coatings. It represents the top-tier specialty engineering material currently available for water-based non-stick coatings, delivering unmatched comprehensive performance.
※ The solvent composition of this dispersion consists of water and N-butylpyrrolidone.
Advantages of the Dispersion Form for These Applications:
Ease of Application
Uniform Thin Films
Water-based dispersions offer easier handling and environmental compliance
Low-Pressure Processing
In summary, PAI dispersion is primarily applied as an enabling form to leverage the polymer's ultra-high-performance properties onto surfaces and into structures where traditional melt-processing is impossible. Its core value lies in creating thermally stable, insulating, and protective coatings for the cookwares, household appliances, aerospace, and industrial manufacturing sectors.
PRODUCT BENEFITS
Extreme Thermal Stability
Outstanding Mechanical Strength & Toughness
Excellent Chemical and Wear Resistance
